Building for the Future

We are pleased to announce that we will be starting the planning process for the next iteration of our strategic plan. We believe in the progress we have made under Success by Design and feel that its objectives will provide a strong foundation to continue to build upon.

The heart of a university’s strategic plan is its institutional vision: what the university is working towards as it seeks to fulfill its mission. NKU’s current vision statement is as follows:

Â鶹ËÞÉáµçÊÓ¾çwill be nationally recognized for being a student-ready, regionally-engaged university that empowers diverse learners for economic and social mobility.

Reflecting on the tenure of Success By Design, Â鶹ËÞÉáµçÊÓ¾çhas sought, and in many cases achieved these desired outcomes. We have continued to redefine ourselves in order to provide a more welcoming environment to foster student access and success, and developed many new, exciting partnerships at the local and even international level. Moreover, in recent years Â鶹ËÞÉáµçÊÓ¾çhas been nationally recognized for its exceptional value and the positive impact on the social mobility of our graduates.

We believe that this vision accurately reflects the current state and future direction of Â鶹ËÞÉáµçÊÓ¾çand will serve as a guiding light as we craft our next strategic plan over the course of the coming year.
