At the end of this academic year, the Â鶹ËÞÉáµçÊÓ¾çSOTA Music Program will bid a bittersweet farewell to Brant Karrick, who will begin a well-deserved retirement from teaching. Brant has been an invaluable member of the Music Program as Director of Bands for the past 19 years. He has established himself as a conductor, musician, educator, and composer/arranger of international reputation. He has been a "Renaissance Man" of talents and skills. Many have learned so much from him, and his expertise and mentorship in music education and ensemble leadership have significantly impacted many.
It is hard to imagine the landscape of Â鶹ËÞÉáµçÊÓ¾çMusic without the daily presence of Brant Karrick. Brant's leadership of the band program at Â鶹ËÞÉáµçÊÓ¾çand his multitude of roles in music education cannot be overstated. We wish Brant all the best in his new chapter of retirement and offer heartfelt thanks for his hard work and service at NKU.
Brant Karrick's final Â鶹ËÞÉáµçÊÓ¾çbands concert entitled "Favorites" is Thursday, April 28 at 7 p.m. in Greaves Concert Hall. Please honor Brant and send him off with gratitude, thanks, and support.
